About Child Care & Islamic Affairs (CCIA)

Formed in Apr 2006, CCIA in its core is a humble effort in fulfilling one of the primary obligations entrusted on us by Allah – that of caring for our less fortunate fellow brothers and sisters. They may be from different parts of the world, from different cultures, different religions but the everyday challenges they face – like 3 square meals a day, clean water to drink, a place to stay – are the same the world over.

CCIA sets out to tackle these issues with clearly an Islamic perspective – but that doesn’t mean the beneficiaries will be from any one particular religion. Rather the approach will be Islamic – under the sunnah or the ways of the Holy Prophet, Mohammed (SAWS) and the rewards it will reap, Inshallah will be universal. CCIA does not translate charity only as funds. It can be an Advice, suggestion, volunteering etc

The members who have committed to these causes are from various walks of life, some holding high profile professional positions and some successfully running their own businesses. But the common traits that these different individuals share are: a heart to give and hands to help.
